El Greco has a uniqe style with vibrant blue and green, white highlights and deep black. I absoutely love this landscape, and I know, it’s impossible to bring back the mood. It wasn’t definitely my goal either, but to find the golden mean between El Greco’s art and my style.
When I was looking for references of Toledo I had a hard time because El Greco wanted to show everything and not necessary in the right places. In the original he buildings and distances are positioned freely for the sake of sight.
