Area 51 entrance

My task was to painting the entrance to Area 51. I didn't push myself too far from the reality and I made only a few small changes (bunkers, watch tower) to the photos what I found about the area. My topic is the 60's America and I had to make it more clear that we were in the 60's. That's the reason why I put a car in the foreground. This car is based on an Chevrolet Impala (1966), the bonnet comes from a Pickup (1968) and the car has parabolic lamps for a "frightened" look. I think, the yellowish light of the daytime gives the mood of an old photo even more.
